I love creating a paintin

I love creating a painting that gives a sense of peace and calm to the viewer , but especially to the buyer. For Simon and Amy, this painting brings memories of their many times on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington state. This is a view along one of the hiking trails. We live in such a beautiful area! Do you get out and hike much?! I have to admit I don't! It's sad, because there are so many great areas to go! What's your fav hike? This picture was taken on my dining room accent wall, but I'm excited to see what it looks like on Simon and Amy's wall! They own green leaf forest products and make beautiful furniture out of the natural beauty of logs, wood! They appreciate trees and nature, a perfect painting for their wall. They are absolutely sweet and the nicest people you'll meet! It was my pleasure to paint this for them. An extract on #sanjuan

Skilled in the depiction of Mediterranean landscapes, he is also the author of many excellent portraits and still lifes. In the fifties he traveled to France where he met Picasso. A French art critic called Sanjuan "le peintre des rouges", because of his use of red colour. Many exhibitions were made of Sanjuan's work during the sixties and seventies, and up to present. His paintings and sculptures can be seen in many points of Catalonia, Majorca, and Spain. A fair amount of his work belongs to private collections in Spain and the United States. Sanjuan developed his own techniques in the field of "photography without camera" (based in the direct manipulation of photographic film), a few of which remain unknown due to his death. He also made contributions to religious art with paintings, sculptures and ceramics, and to book illustration: for instance, he illustrated a Spanish edition of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead.

Mateu was born in Valencia. Having emerged through local Levante UD's youth ranks, he made his first-team debuts during the 200809 season, in a second division game against Crdoba CF (30 home win, 25 minutes played). On 10 August 2010, Mateu signed his first professional contract, running until 2013, and was loaned to third level club Real Unin. He subsequently served loans at CD Badajoz and Real Zaragoza B, signing permanently with the latter after cutting ties with the Granotes in July 2012. On 30 May 2013, Mateu was released by Zaragoza after a bout of indiscipline. He moved to Villarreal CF's C-team in October, and was promoted to the reserves in the following year. On 28 July 2015, Mateu signed for CD Numancia in the second tier.
