Slavin may be best known for his portrayal of illustrator Byron Togler on the Fox network's sitcom Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Ogo on the CGI animated show Robot and Monster, and scientist Phil Myman on ABC's sitcom Better Off Ted. He currently appears in the main cast of Dr. Ken and as a recurring character on Speechless. Slavin has also had guest roles on series such as Castle, Grey's Anatomy, My Name Is Earl, Summerland, Friends, Grimm, Weeds, Wings, ER, Chicago Hope, Ugly Betty, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Bones, Better with You, Legit, Raising Hope, The Finder, Rules of Engagement and Friends with Better Lives. He has appeared in such feature films as Free Enterprise, Race to Witch Mountain, Backwoods, A Cinderella Story, Dirty Girl, and Love & Mercy.

The show began on June 14, 2006. All of Kieran's actions were to be controlled by the public. Through a series of votes, viewers were to choose what he ate, what he wore, what he did, and whom he saw. The OurPrisoner show came to an end on 15 December 2006 and Mr. Kieran Vogel received 40,000 shares of big string stock as his prize, now worth 3 cents a share; had he failed to perform any tasks, he would have received nothing. According to the press release "Through an interactive media platform viewers will vote to determine what Kieran Vogel wears, what he eats, whom he dates, to whom he talks, what music he listens to, and much, much more. He will also react to viewer calls and emails." In September, he was required to stay awake for 48 hours straight. The series was created by BigString Interactive. BigString's CEO Darin Myman was the creator of the show. BigString announced that a second series would be held, but it never surfaced.

Only five of the songs are actually featured in the movie. Hit singles from the soundtrack include "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" by U2 and "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal, both of which were nominated for MTV Movie Awards. "Kiss from a Rose" (whose video was also directed by Joel Schumacher) reached No. 1 in the U.S. charts as well. The soundtrack itself, featuring additional songs by The Flaming Lips, Brandy, The Offspring (songs also included in the film), Method Man, Nick Cave, Michael Hutchence (of INXS), PJ Harvey, and Massive Attack, was an attempt to (in producer Peter MacGregor-Scott's words) make the film more "pop". The soundtrack was hugely successful, selling almost as many copies as Prince's soundtrack to the 1989 Batman film. A second album, featuring over 40 minutes of Elliot Goldenthal's Original Motion Picture Score, was released two weeks after the soundtrack album. Accolades In 1996, "Kiss from a Rose" won three Grammy Awards for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
