Architecture In Perspective (AIP) is an international architectural competition that architectural representations for publications and exhibition. Architecture In Perspective is launched each year at the ASAI's annual convention. The Society's highest award, the Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize is awarded each year in recognition of excellence in the graphic representation of architecture.
The ASAI has worked to establish an international network of delineators throughout the US, Canada, England, Europe, Japan, Australia, Korea, and other countries. Membership with the ASAI brings official affiliations with:

In 2007, The American Society of Illustrators Partnership (ASIP) was established with ASAI as one of the 6 founding organizations. The primary stated purpose of the ASIP was to educate its members and others regarding the rights of illustrators to receive royalties and licensing fees for the use of their work. Membership in the Association is not required in order for a person to claim to be a medical illustrator the Association provides a set of standards for its members to meet and allows prospective employers to pre-screen candidates on this basis. One of the few preconditions on which an candidate can apply for membership is evidence of five years full-time employment as a medical illustrator, a position which itself may be difficult to achieve without having acquired membership in the Association.
The Association offers venues for its members to offer their services to potential employers, and for employers to search for illustrators. An application for renewal of certification is required every five years in order to maintain membership, and must be accompanied by payment of a fee.
The mission of the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators is to promote the appreciation of childrens books around the world by fostering a vibrant community of individuals who bring books for young readers to the public, including writers, illustrators, editors, publishers, agents, librarians, educators, booksellers, bloggers, enthusiasts and others. SCBWI provides education and support for these individuals through their awards, grants, programs and events. They strive to increase the quality and quantity of childrens books in the marketplace, and act as a consolidated voice for professional writers and illustrators worldwide.
