Peace, it's such a simple

Peace, it's such a simple word with such a profound meaning. All their lives people run after peace, trying to seek a mental stability, a contentment but it's not as easy as it sounds. I have been ailing for a long time and my own thoughts destroy me, inch by inch, moment by moment. I have tried to run away from everything that hurt me, does it make me weak or does it make me human? I try to suppress my self destructive mind but the darkness fights back and tries to overpower the peace I try to attain. I want to be happy but how do I escape from my demons? It's like I am torn between two parts of my soul, one wants to give in the darkness residing inside me while other wants to believe and hope. It's an everyday struggle but I am not willing to give up, not yet. I don't want to let go of my darkness but I don't want the dark threads to pierce my heart. I fight everyday and above all, I survive. I survive chasing a distant light, drunk on the thought that someday I will find the happiness I long for. #incredibleindiaofficial #splendidindia #lonelyplanetindia #traveller #trekking #splendid_india #coloursofindia #coloursofnature #indiaview #indiaclicks #india_undiscovered #india_gram #ThePhotoSociety #indianphotography #iphonegraphy #iphone6s #SoMumbai #WritersOfInstagram #xplorience

What one person calls a b

What one person calls a break from reality, another calls a break for inner freedom. Sometimes we 'leave reality' because there is an older, truer reality that wants to come through to be healed. We can only push it down for so long, before it pushes up against us, demanding to be seen and resolved. What one person calls reality, another calls a well-mannered lie. Sometimes the most well-adjusted person, is the one with the most skeletons in their closet. Sometimes the one with mental illness is the one with the courage to be revealed. Their healing may take years- it cant happen overnight because the material didnt accumulate overnight- but it may be the bravest journey of all. As we work together to humanize this shaming world, may we seek to understand and support those who are struggling with mental illness. They may well be the only ones who can show us how to integrate old realities with new ones. They may well be the most honest ones among us. They may well be our trail-blazers for a more authentic life. - Jeff Brown #cottage #homeinthemountains #homeintheforest #forest #trees #sunset #sky #magicalsky #coloursofnature #evening #mentalillness #jeffbrown

There are many classical guitarists listed as notable in their respective epochs. In recent decades, the most "notable classical and cross genre" guitarist was Paco de Luca, one of the first flamenco guitarists to have successfully crossed over into other genres of music such as classical and jazz. Richard Chapman and Eric Clapton, authors of Guitar: Music, History, Players, describe de Luca as a "titanic figure in the world of flamenco guitar", and Dennis Koster, author of Guitar Atlas, Flamenco, has referred to de Luca as "one of history's greatest guitarists.".

The excesses, stereotypes, and frequent absurdities of the traditional Gothic made it rich territory for satire. The most famous parody of the Gothic is Jane Austen's novel Northanger Abbey (1818) in which the naive protagonist, after reading too much Gothic fiction, conceives herself a heroine of a Radcliffian romance and imagines murder and villainy on every side, though the truth turns out to be much more prosaic. Jane Austen's novel is valuable for including a list of early Gothic works since known as the Northanger Horrid Novels. These books, with their lurid titles, were once thought to be the creations of Jane Austen's imagination, though later research by Michael Sadleir and Montague Summers confirmed that they did actually exist and stimulated renewed interest in the Gothic. They are currently all being reprinted. Another example of Gothic parody in a similar vein is The Heroine by Eaton Stannard Barrett (1813). Cherry Wilkinson, a fatuous female protagonist with a history of novel-reading, fancies herself as the heroine of a Gothic romance. She perceives and models reality according to the stereotypes and typical plot structures of the Gothic novel, leading to a series of absurd events culminating in catastrophe. After her downfall, her affectations and excessive imaginations become eventually subdued by the voice of reason in the form of Stuart, a paternal figure, under whose guidance the protagonist receives a sound education and correction of her misguided taste

The creation of a Christian canon was probably a response to career of the heretic Marcion (c.85-160), who established a canon of his own with just one gospel, the gospel of Luke, which he edited to fit his own theology. The Muratorian canon, the earliest surviving list of books considered (by its own author at least) to form Christian scripture, included Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and Irenaeus of Lyons went further, stating that there must be four gospels and only four because there were four corners of the Earth and thus the Church should have four pillars.
